چکیده

Assuming that each subjet follows the Yonetoku relation, i.e., E rest p ∝ L 1/2 p , we performed Monte Carlo simulations in the context of a multiple subjet model (or inhomogeneous jet model) for gamma-ray bursts (GRBs), X-ray–rich GRBs (XRRs), and X-ray flashes (XRFs). For a single subjet, we found that E rest p ∝ Eiso 0.4 for large viewing angle. For the multiple subjet model under the universal structured jet model, we obtained the Amati relation (E rest p ∝ Eiso ) over three orders of magnitude in E rest p for 5000 random viewing angles. Although the scatter around the Amati relation is large in the simulation, the results are consistent with the observed GRBs with known redshifts and the BASTE GRBs with the pseudo redshifts from the lag-luminosity relation. Ep–eiso Correlation in a Multiple Subjet Model of Gamma-ray Bursts

We perform Monte Carlo simulations to study Ep–Eiso correlation in the context of a multiple subjet model (or inhomogeneous jet model) for gamma-ray bursts (GRBs), X-ray–rich GRBs (XRRs), and X-ray flashes (XRFs). For a single subjet, we find that Ep ∝ Eiso for large viewing angles. For the multiple subjet model in which all the subjets have the same intrinsic properties, off-axis events show E...

A possible observational evidence for θ angular distribution of opening half-angle of GRB jets

We propose a method to estimate the pseudo jet opening half-angle of GRBs using the spectral peak energy (Ep)–peak luminosity relation (so called Yonetoku relation) as well as the Ep–collimation-corrected γ-ray energy relation (so called Ghirlanda relation). For bursts with known jet break times and redshifts, we compared the pseudo jet opening half-angle with the standard one and found that th...

Testing the Predictions of the Universal - Structured Jet Model of Gamma - Ray Bursts by Simulations ⋆

Based on the standard energy reservoir of gamma-ray burst (GRB) jets and the relationship between peak energy (Ep) of νFν spectrum and the equivalent-isotropic energy (Eiso), we test the GRB probability distributions as a function of viewing angle (θ) and of viewing angle together with redshift z, P (θ) and P (θ, z), predicted by the universal-structured jet (USJ) model with simulations on obse...

Epeak Relation of Gamma-Ray Bursts

In this Letter we show that there is a redshift degeneracy in the Eiso −Epeak relation of gamma-ray bursts (GRBs). If a GRB has a redshift solved from the Eiso − Epeak relation that lies in the range of 0.9 < z < 20, a GRB that has the same observed fluence and peak spectral energy but is at a different redshift in that range also satisfies the Eiso − Epeak relation within 1-σ error, implying a...

An Off-Axis Jet Model For GRB 980425 and Low Energy Gamma-Ray Bursts

Using a simple off-axis jet model of GRBs, we can reproduce the observed unusual properties of the prompt emission of GRB 980425, such as the extremely low isotropic equivalent γ-ray energy, the low peak energy, the high fluence ratio, and the long spectral lag when the jet with the standard energy of ∼ 10 ergs and the opening half-angle of 10 . ∆θ . 30 is seen from the off-axis viewing angle θ...
